Griffith, Ballard and Company is the oldest continuously run consulting actuarial firm in the country. Formed in 1916, Griffith, Ballard specializes is servicing the needs of its stock, mutual and fraternal benefit society life insurance clients, which range in size from very small to one of the largest insurers in the world. Located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Griffith, Ballard employs three consulting actuaries, two actuarial professionals and a four-person support staff, as well as owns and manages Network Microdesigns Corporation, a life insurance software vendor with seven software developers.
Griffith, Ballard advertises itself as its clients' full-service, outsourced actuarial department, offering services ranging from financial reporting and business forecasting to product development, advice on regulatory issues and technical assistance with regulatory compliance.

Founded in 1916, the firm has evolved from its familial beginnings as Taylor and Taylor, to Taylor, Ballard and Company, and is now known as Griffith, Ballard and Company. Based in Cedar Rapids, Griffith, Ballard serves clients throughout the Midwest, as well as across the country and Puerto Rico.
