Canada Life Reinsurance is a division of The Canada Life Assurance Company founded in 1847. Canada Life Reinsurance began operation in 1999. Prudent business practices, coupled with a strong client service ethic, have helped guide Canada Life Reinsurance to a strong market position.
In 2003, following the acquisition of Canada Life by Great-West Lifeco, Canada Life Reinsurance began working together with its affiliate, London Reinsurance Group Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of London Life Insurance Company, and its subsidiaries. London Reinsurance Group is an established writer of reinsurance and retrocession in the life, and property and casualty markets.
