Delta Dental of California is the state's largest dental health carrier with more than 18 million enrollees in its commercial and government programs. Delta Dental of California is part of a holding company system formed with Delta Dental of Pennsylvania, Delta Dental Insurance Company, their affiliated companies, and Delta Dental of New York; together, the holding company members cover nearly 25 million people in 15 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, providing dental benefits through traditional fee-for-service, HMO-type and PPO dental plans in commercial, consumer and government markets. All of the companies also are part of the Delta Dental Plans Association, the largest dental benefits system in the country.
