Founded more than 40 years ago, today Tower Hill is Florida’s largest homeowners insurer. Our company is financially strong and solid. We’ve weathered every storm and natural disaster in the state since 1972, and helped our customers rebuild after each one.

Like you, we love Florida. We enjoy the sun when it’s shining, appreciate mild winters, watch out for lightning, and build hurricane kits every summer. And like you, our homes are our castles. Company History

In 1972, we opened as a small insurance agency in South Florida. Still owned by our founding family, Tower Hill has grown into one of Florida’s largest residential property insurers. Over the years many things have changed.

We outgrew our office space, then entire buildings. Our original logo, an edgy design back in the 1970s, was eventually replaced by a sturdy tower atop a hill — Tower Hill. As years turned into decades, our small agency grew into an entire family of companies. Today we are represented by 400 employees and more than 700 insurance agencies throughout Florida.

Change is good. At Tower Hill, we are proof that change can be great. However, what is most important to us will never change — our commitment to you. Providing our customers with excellent service and outstanding products remain our guiding principles at the Tower Hill Family of Companies.

We offer our employees a total compensation package that far exceeds the value of their base salary alone and helps employees achieve that balance.

Health and Insurance Benefits

Medical, Prescription and Dental Coverage: Employees can elect coverage for themselves, their spouse, and their dependents. Eligible employees may participate in this program after two months of employment.

Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance: Employees are provided with group term life insurance based on an amount equal to one times their base annual salary after two months of employment. Additional life insurance is available at a group discounted rate.
Income

Salary: In addition to a base salary, incentive pay programs and special recognition programs are available.

Retirement Savings: Tower Hill offers a 401(K) contribution match of 50% of their contributions up to 8% of their eligible compensation and it is fully vested after five years.

Career and Development Resources: THIG is committed to placing the most qualified candidates while considering internal candidates for transfer/promotion to open positions whenever possible. A career at THIG offers the mobility to transfer to other positions within the company. In order to assist employees in developing their career at THIG, we provide learning and development opportunities, cross training, and a centralized Learning Management System that offers instructor lead training, virtual learning, exams, and certifications. These resources help our employees earn their professional designations and licenses to further develop their skills and expertise.

Short- and Long-Term Disability: This benefit is provided at no cost and pays 50% (short term) and 60% (long term) of lost wages due to an injury or illness that prevents them from working.

Subsidized Lunches: Gather with fellow employees to enjoy onsite catered lunches, take advantage of break rooms that includes free coffee/tea, refrigerators, microwaves, healthy food vending machines, and televisions.

Discount Program: Many discounts from local businesses are provided to Tower Hill employees.

Work/Life Balance

Paid Time Off (PTO): This benefit offers greater flexibility than traditional vacation and sick leave programs. PTO is based on tenure and ranges from 16 to 26 days per year and is available to all employees scheduled to work at least 20 hours per week

Holidays: Tower Hill offers 9.5 paid holidays per year; New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving (two days), Christmas (two days), and a ½ day for UF’s homecoming.

Additional Leave: In addition to our Paid Time Off program, additional leave options including Family, Medical, and Personal may be available for certain situations.

Exercise Facility: Tower Hill offers a state of the art onsite fitness center and a newly built gymnasium with regulation indoor basketball and volleyball courts for use by all employees at no cost.

Employee Assistance Program: Get confidential support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for challenging issues such as routine illness, stress and anxiety, relationship problems, parenting and childcare, addiction and recovery, coping with grief, legal help and financial counseling.

Company Sponsored Events and Services: Holiday events and Personal Life Resources (adoption assistance, 529 account admin, EAP, Legal assistance).
