BHA Consulting LLC seeks an entry level Actuarial Analyst for its Greater Atlanta, Georgia office. This full-time, salaried position will provide the opportunity for the entry-level actuary to perform actuarial services addressed to the needs of both pension and health and welfare clients. Clients include multiemployer across the United States.

The ideal candidate will have an independent work ethic, good people skills and attention to detail. Preferred credentials include:

• BS degree in math, statistics, actuarial science, computer science, or a related field
• Passing score on at least 1 actuarial exam
• Studying toward the goal of becoming credentialed in the SOA
• Work experiences that demonstrate hard-work, trustworthiness, friendliness, respect, and responsibility

The Actuarial Analyst will work with the lead consultant to manage all aspects of client deliverables and meeting items.  Responsibilities include:

• Process, analyze and enter data
• Prepare financial position/utilization reports (including in-depth review of prior years’ experience)
• Prepare initial calculations for budget projections, COBRA rates and employer funding requirements
• Assist in Plan communications
• Work with Plan professionals to ensure compliance with pertinent regulations
• Draft RFPs for Plan vendors and analyze responses
• ASC 965 (retiree medical) valuations (work with pension actuaries)
• Review and understand new strategies and changes in the marketplace that impact clients 
• Respond to client emails/calls in a timely fashion.
