The Analyst will join Global Atlantic’s Institutional business. We are a ~25 person principal investing team within Global Atlantic Financial Group, subsidiary of KKR. We are focused on deploying capital on reinsurance and acquisition opportunities in the US Insurance Industry. To date, the Institutional business has acquired ~$100 billion of assets and liabilities.

As an integral part of the Institutional team, the Actuary will work closely with members of the team and interface with senior business leaders. Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing pricing and valuation due diligence on potential reinsurance or M&A transactions involving mainly pension risk transfer (PRT) but also other individual annuity and life business
  • Reviewing actuarial experience of blocks of business under consideration
  • Making recommendations for key actuarial assumptions
  • Identifying potential risks in transactions, and suggesting sensitivities and mitigating actions
  • Providing integration support for completed deals


  • Bachelor’s degree required in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Finance
  • 1 to 2 years of relevant experience or an internship, at an insurance company and/or consulting firm, including pension risk transfer and/or individual life and/or valuation/financial reporting preferred.
  • Strong skills / experience in actuarial modeling and data analysis
  • Strong quantitative and technical abilities, and knowledge of annuity and life products
  • Solid organizational and time management skills
  • High energy with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment and think clearly under pressure
  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently as well as being a team player
  • Drive, enthusiasm, creativity and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Personal integrity, initiative and leadership qualities
