Actuarial Analyst Position

Curcio Webb is recruiting an entry level actuarial student to join the Oakland CA office as an actuarial analyst in the Retirement Practice. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate good people skills, excellent problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. 


Ideal Candidate Characteristics

  • BS degree in math, statistics, actuarial science, computer science, or a related field with a 3.0+ GPA.
  • Passing scores on at least 2 actuarial exams with the goal of becoming credentialed in the SOA.
  • Education in business, investments, accounting, and computer programming.
  • Confident, out-going personality with leadership training and experience.
  • Experience interning at an employee benefits consulting firm or TPA firm.
  • Hard-working, trustworthy, honest, helpful, friendly, courteous, and responsible. 


Job Description

The actuarial analyst will work directly with three senior actuaries to provide a full range of actuarial consulting services. The analyst will develop tools and leading-edge solutions, for all types of retirement plans including Defined Benefit, 401(k), Matching, Profit Sharing, Cash Balance, Non-Qualified, and Retiree Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance Plans. Initially, the analyst will primarily work on data processing, actuarial valuations, benefit calculations, participant statements, government filings, document requests, report preparation, and trust accounting. As the analyst progresses, they will be expected to consult with and meet with clients. The analyst will manage projects or portions of projects under the supervision and training of senior actuaries. We are looking for a long-term, full-time person with unlimited potential.

Compensation and Benefits
